James Orme

James "Jim" Cartwell Orme, 75, of Foster, Kentucky passed away at home on Saturday, January 12, 2013 surrounded by family. He was born on May 4, 1937 to Hervie and Dorothy Orme in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.
Jim is survived by his wife Ruth of 35 years, sons Jamie (Joni) Stidham, Brian (Bonnie) Orme, James Gregory Orme, Eric Orme, and Curtis Orme, daughter Betty Copley, sister Nancy Thomas , 22 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family. Jim was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to all.

Jim had a passion for horses and his career as a heavy-equipment operator and mechanic until retiring in 1991. He was able to enjoy 21 years of retirement with his family before passing.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 18, 2013 from 11:00 until 1:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Taylor Mill, Kentucky. Funeral services will follow. Memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers in Jim's name to Floral Hills Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, Kentucky 41015.
