Jerry Brown

Jerry L. Brown, 84, of Florence, Kentucky passed away at home on March 29, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was born January 4, 1934 to the late Hershel and Hazel Brown. In 1955 he married Alva Collins and she preceded him in death in 2015. To their union was born three children: Jerry Lee (Janice) Brown, Steve (Theresia) Brown and Diane (David) Gillotte.
Jerry served in the Korean War as a member of the US Army. He was a police officer for the city of Elsmere before becoming the Deputy Marshall in Morningview, Kentucky. He owned an auto repair transmission shop where he taught his son his trade. Jerry was a member of the Scuba Club, Ham Radio Club and a Mason of the Florence Masonic Lodge.
In addition to his children, Jerry is survived by his brothers Lonny and Stanley Brown of Eaton, Ohio; sisters Brenda Jennings of Dayton, Ohio and Margie Cole of Kissimmee, Florida; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents and wife, Jerry is preceded in death by his siblings Jim, Sonny, Bob, Hershel, Larry and Phyllis.
In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorial contributions to St Jude Children's Hospital.
