Abigail Sarai Means, a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend, passed away on June 2, 2024, at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. She was born on December 18, 2010, in Edgewood, KY. Abigail brought immense joy and love to all who knew her.
Abigail's bright spirit and infectious laughter touched the hearts of everyone around her. She had a deep affection for horses, princesses, and watching TV, always finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her beaming smile could light up any room and her kind and gentle nature left a lasting impact on those she encountered.
Despite facing numerous challenges in her young life, Abigail remained strong and courageous. She was a fighter till the end, bravely battling Sanfilippo Syndrome with unwavering resilience. Her strength and determination inspired all who knew her. Abigail is now fully healed and in the arms of her Heavenly father.
Abigail will be deeply missed by her parents, Michael Edward and Jennifer Sue Means; her sister Sadie Marie Means; as well as her paternal grandmother Bernice J. Means and maternal grandparents David Lloyd and Susan Marie Bunten. She is now reunited with her paternal grandfather Thomas Oliver Means.
A visitation celebrating Abigail's life will be held from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Erlanger Baptist Church, 116 Commonwealth Avenue, Erlanger, KY 41018. A celebration of life will take place at 12:00 PM, with doors opening at 11:00 AM the following day, Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the church. Pastor B.J. Donahue will officiate. Abigail will then be taken in procession to be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Abigail’s name may be made to the Sanfilippo Foundation at curesanfilippofoundation.org.
In this time of profound loss, may we find solace in the cherished memories we shared with Abigail. Her spirit will live on in our hearts forever, a reminder of the beauty of innocence and the power of unconditional love.
