Alla Burgess

Alla Mae Burgess, 82 of Austin, Texas, formerly of Covington, Kentucky, passed away in her home on March 5, 2018. She was born on November 9, 1935 to the late Harmon and Mattie Stone. On November 10, 1956 she married William Burgess who preceded her in death in 1995. After retiring in 1998, Alla began caring for people in their homes until she became ill 3 short months ago. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who was always helping someone. She will be sadly missed.
Alla is survived by her loving children Jane Burgess, Dwayne Burgess and Gene ( Marsha) Lang; grandchildren Ezekial Wellerding, Isaiah Wellerding, Jacob Wellerding, Angelica Rowland, Karrie' Burgess, Brandy Burgess, Bobby Lang, Angie Ralkey and Novinna West; great grandchildren Destiny Wellerding, Luna Wellerding, Kynnadi Ralkey, Kyleigh Ralkey, Kamden Ralkey, Alayna Lang and Carter Lang; sisters Valma Oakes, Edna Evans and Liz Austin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband and parents, Alla was preceded in death by her son Dennis Lang and her brothers Dwayne Stone and J.C. Stone.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Floral Hills Funeral Home from 11 am until time of service at 12pm. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
