Andrew Junior Mounce

Andrew Junior “Andy” Mounce, 75, of Independence, died Monday, November 13, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Edgewood, with his family by his bedside.  He was born January 12, 1948, in Somerset, Kentucky, a son of the late William R. and Beulah M. Debord Mounce.  He was a proud Army Vietnam Veteran, was a member of Gateway 109 Masonic Lodge in Latonia; and was retired from Occidental Chemical in Norwood.  He is survived and loved by his wife, Mary (Sandy) Irene Jackson Mounce, whom he married August 14,1971; his children, Sally Lynn Miller (Shawn); Andrew Michael Mounce; Jason Alan Mounce (Brandy); Ryan Thomas Mounce (Autumn); and Joshua David Mounce; his 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; his siblings, sister Norma Waddle (Louis) of Tennessee; brother Leslie “Coy” Mounce of Kentucky; brother William David Mounce (Jeannie) of Ohio; and brother George Harold Mounce of Kentucky and a host of relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held 11AM Monday, November 20, 2023 at Floral Hills Funeral Home with Ryan Burkart officiating, where visitation will be held Monday from 9-11 AM.  Burial with military honors will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
