Anna Jane Hembree, age 87 died peacefully at her home on July 21, 2011 in Florence, KY. She was born March 10, 1924, in the town of Atwood, Kenton County, to the late Russel and Lydia Clinkenbeard. She attended Simon Kenton High School. Jane was united in marriage to the late John Hembree, a military veteran.
Jane was a dedicated member of Florence Baptist Church for over 50 years where she faithfully volunteered for services and projects. She held great enthusiasm and ardor for her work as an associate at the Old Time Country Store in the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati Airport. In her 25 years of service she thrived on the relationships chartered with travelers and colleagues. She was an avid music lover and an exceptional square dancer. Jane was one of nine children. She is survived by devoted brothers, Edward and James Clinkenbeard; two beloved sons, Douglas and Roger Hembree; five treasured grandchildren, Erin Hembree Benson, Jonathan Hembree, Lindsay Hembree Tombragel, Margaret Hembree King, Katelyn Hembree; and two cherished great-grandchildren, Brody Benson and Gavin King. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 27 from 10 - 11AM with services following at 11AM at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill.
