Bernard A Brossart

Bernard “Bernie” Bossart, 86, of Highland Heights, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October

31, 2023, at home with his family.  He was born August 16, 1937, in Alexandria, Ky, a son of

the late Nick and Lucille Brossart.  He worked at Hudepohl Brewery and later retired from

Seligman Distributing. Bernie grew up on a farm and spent many days working on family

farms. He was good with his hands and enjoyed tinkering and fixing things around the house.

He loved being outdoors in the garden and sitting on the porch. His favorite hobbies were

fishing and walking around the neighborhood talking with his neighbors. Some neighbors

called him Walking Bernie and wrote a song about him.  He was married for 66 years to

Patricia Ann Brossart, who preceded him in death April 5, 2023.  He is survived by his children,

Paul Brossart (Melinda); Diane Brossart; Karen Doherty; eight grandchildren and six great-

grandchildren.  Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, Nov. 6, 2023, at St. Joseph

Catholic Church in Cold Spring, Ky.  Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 with Mass

following. Burial to follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers please consider
