Betty Clements

Betty Jean Clements, 75, of Mount Olivet, died Wednesday at Robertson County Health Care Facility, Mount Olivet.
She was a retired employee from the IRS, a homemaker and a member of Taylor Mill Church of Christ.
She was active with the Kenton County Democratic Party and served on the Mount Olivet City Council and Taylor Mill City Council, where she also served as mayor and later as Police and Public Works Commissioner. She was a board member of the Taylor Mill Swim Club and the Scott High School Hall of Fame. She was a member of the Taylor Mill Fire Department and Life Squad, served as Life Squad captain, a certified firefighter with the City of Taylor Mill, a Red Cross instructor, an EMT instructor, and helped established Cub Pack No. 766.
A son, Marvin Keith Bowman, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Robert C. Clements; sons, Robert S. Clements of Edgewood, James C. Clements of Cincinnati, Walter E. Clements of Mount Olivet, and Jeffrey A. Clements of Richmond; daughters, Linda Jones of Lehigh Acres, Fla., Sandy Gillespie of Villa Hills, Janet La Count of Phoenix, Ariz., Sylvia Moore of Warner Robins, Ga., and Darla Hernandez of Erlanger; sisters, Rosie Hardin and Freda Dunford, both of Northern Kentucky, and Vonnie Hubbard of Lexington; 32 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Taylor Mill Fire Department. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Robertson County Funeral Home, Mount Olivet and also beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday at the fire department. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill.
