Bobby Harney

Bobby Harney, 78, of DeMossville , passed away on August 12, 2024 at Hospice of Hope in Maysville, Kentucky, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 4, 1946, in Cynthiana, Kentucky.

Bobby served his country with honor as a member of the United States Army during Vietnam War. His commitment his military service reflected his deep-rooted sense of duty and patriotism.

Outside of his military obligations, Bobby was a devoted Deacon at the Gardnersville Baptist Church. His faith guided his actions, and he found solace and purpose in serving his community through his church.

In his leisure time, Bobby found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for fishing, hunting, and gardening, pursuits that allowed him to connect with nature and find peace in its beauty.

Bobby Harney's presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His memory will be cherished by his family and friends.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Nichols Harney, and his daughters, Alice Bergman and Cindy Harney. He also leaves behind his sister, Patricia King, and grandchildren, Robby and Jacob Bergman, and Samantha Utley.

During this time of mourning, Bobby's family invites relatives, friends, and acquaintances to join them in celebrating his life. Visitation will be held on August 18, 2024, at Floral Hills Funeral Home - Chapel A in Covington, Kentucky, Sunday, August 18, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM,  A Funeral Service will take place 11:00 AM on August 19, 2024 at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A.  Following the service, Bobby will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Cemetery in Covington, Kentucky.

Bobby Harney's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love of his family and friends.
