Carol June Morris, 69, of Independence, KY died on December 25, 2016, peacefully at her home. Carol was born October 30, 1947, in Fort Thomas, KY to the late Walter and Carrie Hyden.
Carol was highly committed to education and performed many jobs. In fact, there wasn't a task she couldn't accomplish when she set out to complete it. Carol was very ambitious and began to pursue her education studying to become a paralegal in family law and entrepreneurships. Carol owned and managed her own Curves franchise. She was an active member in the Ridgecrest Lions Club.
Carol was a very huge supporter of her family members continuing their education. Carol enjoyed traveling, listening to music, frequenting the local casinos, hiking in the mountains and could grow a rose garden that would make anyone envious. She was a joyful person with an infectious spirit who never met a stranger.
Carol was predeceased by her husband, William Harry Morris on December 7, 2011 in Ridgecrest, California where they resided. She is survived by her daughters Vickie (Duane) Gray of Independence, Kentucky, Patricia (Michael) SoRelle of Independence, Kentucky and Paula (Kenneth) Gibbs of DeMossville, Kentucky; step-son John Morris of Memlo Park, California; grandchildren Nicole Strange of Winterhaven, Florida, Amber Strange of Daytona, Florida, Nick Gray of Union, Kentucky, Kristin East of Independence, Kentucky and Breanna and Brandon Gibbs of Demossville, Kentucky. Carol was also predeceased by her former husband Howard Graves of Independence, Kentucky.
A Memorial Gathering will take place on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Floral Hills Funeral Home from 5:00pm until time of Memorial Service at 7:00pm.
