Cecil Smith

On Friday July 31, 2020 Cecil Wayne Smith, loving husband and daddy, gained his wings at the age of 69. He was born to Tommy and Kat on November 15, 1950 in Covington, Kentucky. On October 24, 1972 he married Vanessa Owens and they had 2 daughters, Monica and Rachel. Wayne served in the United States Marine Corps as an ES Sargent. He drove a Semi for more than 20 years as he loved to be on the open road, those on the road knew him by his handle “Baby Maker”. He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas Smith and Stella Katherine Brewster and brothers Kenny, Danny and Donnie. He is survived by his wife Vanessa; daughters Monica, Rachel (Authur); grandchildren Angelica, Brianna, Carissa, Mykell, Authur Jr., and De’Ja; 5 great grandchildren; brothers Ricky (Joetta) and Ronnie (JoJo); sisters Wanda (Steve) Napier, Gina (Danny) Phillips; many extended family members and friends. A Visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home on Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 11 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Burial with Military Honors will be held in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
