Charles Abner

Charles Abner, 89, of Covington, Kentucky passed away on August 17, 2017 at the Cincinnati Veterans Community Living Center. He was the son of the late William Abner and Delia Jones. Charles retired from the IRS in Covington after 30 plus years in the maintenance department. He loved fishing, camping and spending time with his family and friends.
Charles is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elsie Thomas; children Connie Olding, Angela ( Rob) Trowbridge, and Timothy (Faye) Abner; granddaughter Christine Trowbridge; great granddaughter Riley Rosenacker; brother Charles Barnett and many extended family and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents.
The family has suggested memorial contributions be made to the CLC Recreation Therapy Department, 3200 Vine St, Cincinnati, Ohio 45220
A visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home on Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 6pm until 8pm. A funeral service will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 11 am with burial to follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
