83, of Newport, Kentucky passed away September, 18, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Ft. Thomas. He served his country as a Navel Reservist and in the US Air Force during the Korean War. A life member of the American Legion Post 11, Newport. Charles retired from Durkee Foods and was an avid walker. He is preceded in death by two brothers Gene and Edward Wolpert and sister Helen Purvis. Survivors include his wife Betty Wolpert of Newport; daughters Linda Staley of Ft. Thomas, KY, Deborah Frasher of Forest Park, OH and Patricia Wolpert of Newport, KY; son Charlie Wolpert of Anderson Twp., OH; grandchildren Amanda, Kyle, Derek, Erick, Emily, Stephanie and Chris; great grandchildren Caleb, Rachael, Olivia, Piper and Havier; sisters Dorothy Wolpert of Newport, KY and Mary Louise Sexton of Hillsboro, OH. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Visitation will be held Friday, September 21, 2012 from 5pm until 8pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held 10am Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Burial immediately following at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided by the Elsmere Honor Guard. Floral Hills Funeral Home is serving the family.
