Clifford Metcalfe

April 23, 1918 — October 31, 2008

Cliff Metcalfe, 90, of Taylor Mill, died Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
He was a retired machinist from General Electric, Cincinnati, an Army veteran of World War II, a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Independence, and 1935-36 Kentucky State Golf Tournament winner.
His wife, Shirley Galloway Metcalfe, died in 1987.
Survivors include a son, Tom Metcalfe of Sadieville; a sister, Loraine Metcalfe Weber of Edgewood; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Taylor Mill. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 297 Buttermilk Pike, Fort Mitchell, Ky. 41017; or the American Heart Association, 240 Whittington Parkway, Louisville, Ky. 40222.
