Dennis Wayne Lowe, 78, of Covington, a retired automobile mechanic and proud Navy veteran, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2024, at U.C. Hospital in Cincinnati, surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on December 7, 1946, in Carlisle, Kentucky, the son of George E. Lowe and A. Ruth Curtis Lowe, who have both preceded him in death. Dennis’ beloved wife of 47 years, Victoria Lee Wheeldon Lowe proceeded him in death in 2015. Dennis dedicated his career to the art of mechanics, providing outstanding service and care throughout his years in the automobile industry. In addition to his professional contributions, he was a devoted family man whose love for his daughters, grandchildren, and friends was evident in all aspects of his life. He was a member of the Country Cruisers Car Club for more than 35 years. 

He is survived by his two daughters, Dawn Johnson and her husband Michael, and Shelley Hicks and her husband Jeff. Dennis also cherished his role as a grandfather to Matthew Johnson, Patience Hicks, and Billy Hicks. His sister, Linda Robinson and her husband Mike, stand as a testament to his strong family ties. Additionally, he leaves behind a special friend, Joyce Clendenen, who brought joy and companionship into his life after his wife passed away.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home - Chapel B, located at 5336 Old Taylor Mill Rd, Covington, Kentucky. This will be followed by a funeral service on December 16, 2024, at 10:00 AM, also at Floral Hills Funeral Home - Chapel B with military graveside services at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Weather permitting, please drive a classic car to the visitation or funeral in memory of Dennis. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Country Cruisers Car Club, c/o Treasurer Gerry Blenke, 949 Collins Road, Villa Hills, KY 41017. The Country Cruisers donate all proceeds to five different local charities. 

Dennis Wayne Lowe will be remembered for his warmth and humor, his dedication to family, his service to his country, and his passion for all things involving classic cars. His legacy will live on through the lives he touched and the love he shared with those around him. Floral Hills is honored to serve the Lowe family.
