Edgar Jack Hodge
Edgar Jack Hodge, 75, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2013 at his home in Clarksville, Tennessee. He was born on June 20, 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Edgar B. and Dolores (Reaves) Hodge.
Jack graduated from Dayton High School in Dayton, Kentucky in 1955. He also married Carol (Rickert) that same year and they remained happily married for 57 years.
Except for a brief stint as a Cincinnati Police Officer in 1963, he spent his working years in the distribution career field with various companies in Ohio, Indiana and Tennessee. He retired in 1998 from Consolidated Stores Corporation in Columbus, Ohio.
Jack was a 50-year Freemason affiliated with Henry Barnes Lodge No. 607 and Queen City Lodge No. 761. He was also a Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Syrian Shrine of Cincinnati. He enjoyed outdoor activities and spending quality time with family and friends.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ray Hodge. He is survived by his wife Carol; four sons Jack Jr., Randy (Petra), Mike (Jackie), and Shawn (Tracy) Hodge; daughter Kim (Tim) Stacey; two sisters Scharlotte (Joe) Wever and Darlene (Jim) Glover; brother Dan Hodge; 17 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and his loving nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Masonic funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Covington Kentucky. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service. The family will also be greeting friends and relatives at the Scottish Rite Temple, 1553 Madison Ave. in Covington, Kentucky shortly after burial.
