Edward Eldridge,
100 years of age, of Taylor Mill, KY passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, December 20, 2020. Edward was born in Lee County, Kentucky in 1920 to the late Jesse and Lula Eldridge and lived on the family farm until 1935 when he moved to Newport. Purchasing his first guitar from the Sears and Roebuck Catalog, Edward became a very talented singer and guitar player styling his music after Gene Autry. In 1942 Edward joined the United States Army and served in WWII. He retired from the Pfizer Company in 1983. Edward has been a member of the Taylor Mill Pentecostal Church for over 48 years. He was a man who valued honesty and integrity, and had extreme love for his family. Edward is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Ann Louise Eldridge (nee: Dayberry); son and daughter-in-law Rodney and Kim Eldridge; grandchildren Leah (Aaron) Jarvis, David Eldridge and Stephen Eldridge; great grandchildren Amelia and Grant; sister-in-law’s Evelyn Fenhoff, Marie Burgess, Joyce Fletcher and Ethel Huff; many extended family members and friends. A Visitation will be held at the Taylor Mill Pentecostal Church on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 12:30pm until time of Funeral Service at 1:30pm. Burial will immediately follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic please remember to wear a mask and practice social distancing at the church.
