Elaine Frances Dragan

On December 17, 2022, Elaine Frances Dragan passed away peacefully at age 75 after suffering a stroke in May of 2022. Elaine is survived by her husband of 54 years Joseph Dragan. The couple lived and raised their family in Burlington, KY.

Elaine was born on February 11, 1947 and was the proud mother of two sons, Michael Dragan (Deanna) of Burlington, Todd Dragan (Elizabeth) of Cincinnati. She is survived by her sons and sisters Michele Gravens, Daniele Perry, and Chantel Heidebrink. She is predeceased in death by her parents George and Mildred Gravens and her sister Cheril Hammons.                     

Family was everything to Elaine. She especially loved her five grandchildren: Patrick, Ashley, Drew, Chelsea, and Celeste, many nieces and nephews, and close friends who will miss her greatly.

She was an exceptional wife, mother, and homemaker. Early in her career, she worked in her family's restaurants in Covington and Ft. Wright. Elaine most recently worked at Copper High School in the cafeteria where she could always find a few extra dollars to buy lunches for children who didn’t have money to buy for themselves. She enjoyed bringing sweet treats to the staff and students at Cooper High School. She was also very active in Conner High School Athletic Boosters where her sons Mike & Todd played sports.  

Elaine loved to bake and was known for her famous cheesecakes. She would make cakes for many of her family members for their birthdays. She loved vacationing especially sunning at the beach and hiking in the beautiful mountains in Gatlinburg.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 23, 2023 from 12:00-3:00 P.M. with services beginning at 3:00 P.M. at Floral Hills Funeral Home 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY followed by a private burial.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice.
