Elizabeth "Betty" McManis Rowekamp (nee Plummer)
83 of Newport, Kentucky passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Ft. Thomas. Betty was a parishioner of St. Therese Catholic Church in Southgate for over 50 years. She also worked at St. Therese School in the cafeteria. Betty was a member of the Bellevue Vets and Newport Elks. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years George "Mac" McManis and husband of 13 years Jim Rowekamp. She is survived by her children Judy (Mike) Ball of Newport, KY, Jim (the late Tracey) McManis of Newport, KY and Steve McManis of Dry Ridge, KY; grandchildren Marissa, Kelly, Bethany, Eric, and David; great grandchildren Tanner, Trevor, Levi and Bentley; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Therese Catholic Church in Southgate, KY at 10:30 am on Friday, April 21, 2017. Burial will be immediately following at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorials suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice. Floral Hills Funeral Home is serving the family.
