Elmer J. Kessel,
89 of Independence, Kentucky went to meet his wife, Ann, in the house of our Lord on Friday, April 21, 2017. Elmer served his country in the Army Air Force during WWII. A hard working man, who loved the Lord, Elmer attended Grace Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Ann Kessel. Elmer is survived by his sons Walter Kessel of Crittenden, KY and Harry (Lisa) Kessel of Anderson Twp., OH; grandchildren Brian (Shannon) Kessel, Patrick (Angie) Kessel, Jennifer Kessel and Melissa Kessel; great grandchildren Kayla, Claire, Beckham and Savanna. Memorials suggested to Grace Baptist Church, 5228 Madison Pike, Independence, Kentucky 41051. Visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 11 am until time of Funeral Service at 1 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided by American Legion Post #4.
