Ernest James Boggs

Ernest "Jimmy" James Boggs Sr, 74, of Independence, passed away peacefully with his family at his side, Friday, September 13, 2024, at the Signature Healthcare in Carrollton, Kentucky. He was born February 8, 1950, in Covington, the son of the late Orby Boggs and Mary V. Fleischner Boggs. He was a retired self employed Carpenter. He was happiest when woodworking, enjoying classic cars, and spending time with family and friends. Jim is survived by his children, Dwayne Ferguson, Dustin Ferguson (Lena), Danielle Varisco (Jason), E.J. Boggs, Violet Garcia (James), Wayne Strickland, Matthew Strickland, and Matthew Boggs; his many grandchildren and great grandchildren and was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Boggs, his wife, Patricia Boggs, his son, Jamy Boggs, and son, Darrell Ferguson. There will be a Celebration of Life service 7PM Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A, where visitation will be held from 5-7 PM.
