Eugene Gatewood

Eugene H. Gatewood,
94, of Covington, Kentucky passed away January 20, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Edgewood. He was a 60 year member of the Oakridge Baptist Church and retired after 38 years with Ashland Oil Company as Fleet Superintendent. Eugene is survived by his wife of 63 years Violet (nee:Knieriemen) Gatewood. He is also survived by his children Duane (wife Paula) Gatewood of Owen County, KY and Elaine (husband Steve) Kelly of Owen County, KY; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and sister Leona Mann of Louisville, KY. Visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 11am until time of funeral service 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorials suggested to the Oakridge Baptist Church, 6063 Clubhouse Drive, Covington, KY 41015.
