On Friday, February 7, 2020 Eugene “JuneBug” Wolpert III, loving son, loving husband, father, brother, and uncle, passed away at the age of 36.
JuneBug was born on June 20, 1983 in Ft. Thomas, KY to Eugene “Junior” and Nancy “Kathy” (Mahan) Wolpert. He started his journey as an Ironworker on November 1, 2001 and graduated the Ironworkers Apprenticeship on May 15, 2007 and was a Journeyman Ironworker for Local 44 out of Cincinnati, OH for 19 years. On January 25, 2014 he married Brittany Nicole Bitzer “Wolpert”. They had four children Kathleen “Gracie”, Eugene “Bubby”, Peyton and Hunter.
JuneBug had a passion for Ironworking and transforming many different things. He would wake up every day and put on his Carhartt carpenter pants that were covered with patches and tear mender and his worn to the sole work boots and off to work he would go. He truly loved Ironworking. The only thing he loved more than Ironworking was his family. JuneBug loved everyone; his dad “Junior”, mom “Kathy” and his 4 kids were always at the top of the list.
Every chance he had he was working in the garage, spending time with his wife or rolling around in the floor with the kids. They were his world. JuneBug loved his trucks, 4 wheeling, Christmas lights and Krogering at his mom and dad’s house. When JuneBug showed up he would get a Kroger bag and take 3 ice creams, 2 brownies, 5 fudge rounds, a hand full of candy and a coke. JuneBug never met anyone who he didn’t like or didn’t like him. If you crossed his path, he would know your name and be trying to help you with whatever you needed. JuneBug’s heart was bigger than him, along with his fun-loving spirit. He loved to laugh and enjoy the moment. He was known for his kind and compassionate heart, laughter and laid-back easy-going personality.
JuneBug was preceded in death by his grandmother Ruth Ann Wolpert and his grandfather Eugene Franklin Wolpert Sr. He is survived by his father Junior, mother Kathy, sister Elizabeth “Lou Lou”, brother James “Jimmy”, brother in law Sam, niece Brooke, wife Brittany, children Gracie, Bubby, Peyton and Hunter and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
