Evelyn Barnes

Evelyn Louise Barnes, 79, of Latonia, passed away peacefully at home on January 12, 2017 under the care of Bluegrass Hospice. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Jane Barnes.
Evelyn worked for the state of Ohio for 45 years as a word processor. She was a long time member of Madisonville Church of God. Evelyn was a jokester who loved to shop and eat. She was a huge fan of Natalie Cole. Everyone who knew her called her "Babe".
Evelyn was a loving mother to her daughter Valencia and her son Terrance, who survive. She is also survived by her grandchildren Ashley Barnes, Amber Barnes, Brach Mason, Shannontel Barnes, Terrrance Barnes Jr, Taylor Barnes and Andrew Barnes; great grandchildren Ismael Barnes and Zyon Barnes; step grandchildren Anastasia Mason and Syneisha Mason; 12 step great grandchildren and brothers Richard and William. Evelyn was preceded in death by the love of her life William "Pearly" James Smith, great grandson Isaiah and brother Henry.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from noon until time of service at 1:00pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
