Fred "Fast Freddie" Hensley, 79, of Edgewood, Kentucky passed away on October 4, 2017 at St Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood. He was born on November 4, 1937 to the late Grover and Betty Hensley. He later married Fredia Hensley who preceded him in death.
After 50 years, Fred retired as the owner/operator of Fred's Barber Shop, where he served his community. He had served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict, was a member of St Anthony Church and was a boxer in his younger days. He was seen on TV while boxing at the Cincinnati Gardens. Fred loved taking trips to Vegas and playing video poker.
Fred was a loving dad to Ed (Linda) Morris; loving grandpa to Corey (Erin) Morris and Justin (Megan) Morris and loving great grandpa to Hudson, Caden, Blair, Blake and Chloe; brother to Rev. Bruce(Faye)Hensley, Katherine Davidson and Ron (Terrie) Hensley.
Along with his parents and wife, Fred was preceded in death by his son Scott Hensley, brother Richard Hensley and sister Shirley Juma.
A visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home on Monday, October 9, 2017 from 10am until time of service at 12 pm. Rev. Bruce Hensley will officiate. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. To leave online condolences please visit www.floralhillsmemorialgardens.com
