Harry Edward Holtkamp

Harry Edward Holtkamp, Sr., 90, of Fort Wright, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at The Seasons@Alexandria with his family by his bedside.  He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Harry Christian Holtkamp and Freda Grace McCord McIlquham.

Harry was a Truck Driver with City Haul Trucking and the Marshall of Lakeview Police Department.  After retiring from trucking, he worked as a Detective with the Commonwealth's Attorney Office, was a Private Investigator for Sanders Law Firm, and worked Security at Turfway Park.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Lois June Elam Holtkamp; daughers Debbie (Bob) Petrey, Diana Todtenbier, Darla Pope, Denise (Quintin) Roark; son Donald Holtkamp; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his son, Harry Holtkamp, Jr; grandsons Jacob Gripshover and Quintin Roark, Jr; and his brother, Robert C. Holtkamp.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Floral Hills Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.  Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, New York 10001.
