Helen Joy Fitzpatrick,
Joy, of Baptist Village, Erlanger, left this earth to be with her Lord Jesus early on February 6, 2016. "The Greatest Generation" has lost another member. Born in Berea, Kentucky on December 28, 1925 to the late Mary Olive and Beach Terry she grew up in Irvine, Ravenna and Lexington, Kentucky. She graduated from Henry Clay High School in Lexington. She worked in the gift shop at Greater Cincinnati Airport in Hebron for many years. During this time she was thrilled to meet many celebrities from Hollywood, TV and sports. Her many interest included reading and watching golf on TV. She wanted it known that, even as an elderly person, she had read all the Harry Potter books. She was a big UK sports fan and also followed the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds. A world traveler, she had been to five continents mostly with her mother, sister and brother-in-law. Joy was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, John T. Fitzpatrick, Sr, her sister Terry and brother-in-law Dr. Robert D. Warth. She leaves behind her son John T. Fitzpatrick, Jr. (Pamela) of Lexington, KY, daughter Beverly Kottmyer (Robert) of Hebron, KY, daughter Ceil Wilson (Geoff) of Lake Bluff, IL and son Christopher Fitzpatrick, of Fremont, CA. She also leaves grandchildren: John Fitzpatrick III, Kevin Fitzpatrick, Keith Wilson, Robb Kottmyer, Heather Phillips, Casey Fitzpatrick, Paris Fitzpatrick and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 1 pm. Burial will immediately follow.
