Herschel Lawson

March 2, 1932 — March 17, 2009

Herschel Earl Lawson, 77, of Independence, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
He was a retired punch press operator from Heekin Can Co., an Army veteran of the Korean War, member and past commander of VFW Post No. 1095.
Survivors include his wife, Hilda M. Lawson; a brother, Neil Lawson of Dayton, Ohio; and a sister, Christine McPherson of Dayton, Ohio.
Services will be at noon Friday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.
Memorials are suggested to Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 11969 Taylor Mill Road, Independence, Ky. 41051.
