Howard McDonald

HOWARD G. McDONALD, 97 formerly of Cold Spring, Ky, passed away in Galax, VA November 14, 2013. He was retired from the Ford Motor Company Maintenance Department, and a member of the UAW Local 836. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) in the Great Depression Era of the 1930's. He was also a dynamite technician during the road construction on Pine Mountain, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Nann McDonald.
Howard is survived by his wife, Virginia McDonald, one daughter, Judith McDonald, a step-daughter, Jeanette (David) Miller, one son Kenneth McDonald, one grandchild and 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation for Howard G. McDonald will be Monday, November 18th, 2013 from 10:00 am until 10:30 am.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 am in the Floral Hills Funeral Home Chapel, with burial immediately following in the Sermon on the Mount Garden of Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Floral Hills Funeral Home is serving the family. www.floralhillsmemorialgardens.com.
