Imogene Brearton

Imogene Brearton, of Covington, KY passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the glorious age of 73. She was born in Covington, KY on May 27, 1950, the daughter of the late Bill and Dorothy Creech.

Imogene worked as a bartender for the Newport, KY VFW/American Legion and TC’s Cafe and was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Covington, KY. When she wasn’t working, Imogene loved playing BINGO at the local American Legion and enjoyed spending time with her family whom she cherished deeply.

Preceding Imogene in death was her loving and devoted husband, George Brearton and her son, Tony Brearton.

Those left surviving to carry on Imogene’s legacy include her caring children, Tim Brearton, Bobbie Brearton, Misty Couch, Lee Couch, Dawn Turner and Jessie Brearton; sister, Betty Orta; 28 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends who are now emptier upon her passing.

A visitation celebrating Imogene’s life will be held from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Imogene will then be reunited with her husband and laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
