Irene Catherine Howard,
92 Of West Covington, Kentucky passed April 21, 2016 at the Providence Pavilion. Irene was born March 1, 1924 to the late Lawrence and Frances Hegener. She retired as a Buyer from Shillito's Department Store. She enjoyed family holiday parties, weekend car rides and talking endless hours to her sister Millie. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold Howard, daughter Melanie Cappel and grandsons Mark and Matthew Myers. She is survived by her son Larry (Carol) Myers of Noblesville, IN and step son David (Judy) Howard of Reno, NV; granddaughter and caretaker Jennifer Myers; grandchildren Chris Myers, Chris (Nikki) Mayhew, Jeff (Denice) Cappel, Brian (Dressa) Cappel, Melissa (James) Roberts and Bradley Cappel; 12 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; sister Mildred Gravens; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Visitation will be at Floral Hills Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 9 am to 10:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at St. Benedict Church, 338 E 17th St, Covington, KY 41014 at 11 am. Interment will immediately follow at Mother of God Cemetery.
