Jake J. Grout

69, formerly of Covington, KY passed unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 14, 2020 at his residence in Lexington, KY. He went to Holy Cross High School. Jake proudly served in the U.S. Navy and enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn Kuhr-Grout in 2016 and parents Jesse and Lorraine Grout. Jake is survived by his daughter Ryan Elizabeth Grout of Covington, KY, sons Jesse Grout of Post Falls, ID and Justin Grout of Rockford WA.  He was the oldest of six siblings.  He is also survived by his siblings: sisters Charlene (Bill) Hensley of Morning View, KY, Darlene (Wayne) Snyder of Erlanger, KY, Pauline (Mike) McKee of Florence, KY, Ruth (Kent) Kraemer of Erlanger, KY and brother Louis Grout of Morning View, KY.  He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins and grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 from 11 am until time of Funeral Service at 1 pm, all at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Taylor Mill, KY. Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, please remember to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Memorial contributions may be made to Floral Hills Funeral Home to offset funeral costs.
