James Liston Fawbush, of Covington, KY passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood, KY on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the glorious age of 86. He was born in Pineville, KY on February 7, 1937, the son of the late James and Verda Fawbush. James worked for a longtime as a machinist with R.A. Jones and was a member of Anchor Baptist Church in Erlanger, KY. At the church, James was a Deacon and ran the Men’s Ministries. In his spare time, James enjoyed painting houses, watching the Cincinnati Bengals, fishing, hunting and listening to old bluegrass country music. His greatest joy, however, came from spending time with his family who he cherished deeply. Those left surviving to carry on James legacy include his loving and devoted wife of 67 years, Joan Fawbush; children, Peggy (Paul) Milazzo, James (Carolyn) Fawbush, Jr. and John R. Fawbush; sister, Linda (Charles) Centers; grandson, James Michael Irving; his faithful four-legged companions, Sammi and Sophie; as well as many other close relatives and friends. A visitation celebrating James’ life will take place from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Friday, January 19, 2024, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 Pm at the funeral home. Pastor Collin Coots will officiate the service. James will then be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Taylor Mill, KY.
