James Johnson

James “Jim” Johnson,

67 of Independence, Kentucky passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020. The world lost a very loving, caring, gentle and tender-hearted man when Jim passed. He went to heaven to be with his loved ones: mother Ruth, friend Lee, step dad Bob Carlisle and his yorkie Spunky.

Jim was born February 21, 1953 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Virgil Dean Johnson of Nebraska and Ruth M. James Carlisle of Kenton County who passed away in 2005.

Jim lived most of his life in Kenton County and was an avid Reds fan and devoted friend to his co workers whom he called family: Peggy, Kenny, Rita, Aimee, Elaine and Laura.

He leaves behind his sister Judy (Dennis) Gooch; nieces Jackie, Maribeth, Rachel and Joey; father Virgil Dean Johnson; half sisters Georgia and Vickie from Missouri; half-brother Virgil Jr. of Missouri.

He will be missed by the many who knew and loved him.
