Janice Whittaker

Janice G. Whittaker, 65, of Independence, Kentucky, passed away on April 25, 2017 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Rosella Schneider. On July 26, 1975 she married Mike Whittaker, who survives.
Janice was the loving mother of Tammy (Mike) Dorgan and Matt (Kimberly) Whittaker; loving grandmother to Madalynn Robinson, Alissa, Brian and Austin Dorgan and Layla Whittaker; sister to Richard (Vicki) Schneider, Daniel Robert Schneider, Cheryl (Jerry) Moore, Cindy (Bill) Garrison and Lois Rose Schneider; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Janice was preceded in death by her brother Timothy Schneider.
Janice was a member of Hopeful Lutheran Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Janice had worked as a Para-Educator for the Boone County Schools. She also enjoyed working in the voting booths. Janice was a very positive person, and was honest, sometimes to a fault. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
The family has requested donations be made to the University of Cincinnati Transplant Center, The American Heart Association or The American Cancer Society.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 10 am until time of service at 1 pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Online condolences can be left at www.floralhillsmemorialgardens.com
