Jeanetta "Jan" Graven

Jeanetta “Jan” Graven, of Elsmere, KY, passed away peacefully at Siena Gardens in Cincinnati, OH, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 22, 2024, at the glorious age of 86. She was born in Glencoe, KY on November 3, 1937, the daughter of the late Harold and Thelma Edmondson. Jan was a longtime sales associate with Macy’s and in her free time often enjoyed Bingo and gambling at the casino. Her greatest joy, however, came from spending time with her family, whom she cherished deeply. Preceding Jan in death were her parents; her devoted husband of 60 years, John Graven; a brother, Jim Edmondson and her sisters, Geneva Hughes, Jeanie Stone and Mae Brock. Those left surviving to carry on Jan’s memory include her loving children, John (Clasien) Graven, Patty (Jim) Dusing and Diana (Dan) Kuhlmann; grandchildren, Mike Graven, Dan (Molly) Graven, Jason Graven, Stephanie (Josh) Cook, Mary (Jeremy) Gibson, Robby (Kate McManus) Dusing, Jessica (Phil) Mazza and Kyle (Cheyenne) Kuhlmann; great-grandchildren, Harper, Everett, Kaylee, Bennett, Lily, Henry and James; as well as many other relatives and friends. A visitation celebrating Jan’s life will take place from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Jan will then be reunited with her husband John as she is laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
