John Edward Blaine, 84, of Crittenden, born on August 26, 1940, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on October 2 2024, at St. Elizabeth Florence, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind a legacy by dedication to both his family and his career.
For over 50 years, John diligently served as a welder at Bavarian Trucking, where his skill and hard work were deeply appreciated by colleagues and employers alike. His commitment to his craft was evident, and he took great pride in producing quality work, often sharing stories of his experiences with those around him.
John is survived by his children: Deborah Drawdy (Robert Johnson), Harold Newman (Shari), Alvirtie "Jeannie" Blaine, and John Kevin Blaine. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren and cherished several great-grandchildren, who were a source of joy in his life.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jessie Blaine and Mittie Dees Blaine, whose influence shaped his character and values and many brothers and sisters. John's presence will be profoundly missed by his family, who find solace in the love and memories they shared.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 7, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home - Chapel A, located at 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Covington, KY. The funeral service will follow at the same location, with burial at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
John Edward Blaine's dedication to his family and profession will be remembered fondly, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
