John Lewis Dair

John Lewis Dair, of Covington, KY passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family on Monday, January 15, 2024, at the glorious age of 93. He was born in Newport, KY on September 4, 1930, the son of the late Bonie and MaeHalie Combs. John worked as a machinist with Wadsworth and often enjoyed hunting and fishing. Preceding John in death were his parents; his daughter, Valeria Maness and his four brothers, Jacie Combs, Harlan Combs, William “Billy” Combs and Jimmy Combs. Those left surviving to carry on John’s memory include his loving and faithful wife of 69 years, Dorothy Kathleen Dair; daughter, Sheila Dair; siblings, Hacker Combs, Archie Combs and Robert Combs; granddaughter, Rebecca Seligman; great-grandchildren, Max Seligman and Megan Seligman; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A visitation celebrating John’s life will take place from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. John will then be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
