John “Dutch” Heisler, Sr, 88 of Taylor Mill, KY went to heaven on May 6, 2022. He was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church, and he proudly served our Country during the Korean Conflict as a United States Marine. John was a dedicated independent insurance agent for many years and took great satisfaction in caring for his clients well. Those who knew and loved John are very familiar with his deep love for his family and friends. Some of his finest memories were travel with friends and his involvement with church youth groups. Many have received his delicious cookies as an expression of his desire to brighten their day. He was an avid UK Wildcat fan, and he loved nothing more than to be watching his kids and grandkids in their many athletic endeavors. His keen observations from the stands on the official’s performance will be sorely missed.
John is survived by his Wife of 64 years, Ruby Heisler; Children, Shawna (Rob) Keller, Jenna (Ken) Lockard, Cara (David) Farrell and John (Kelly) Heisler; Grandchildren, Alyssa, Lindsey, Jake, Kenneth, Luke, Alec, Austin, Collin, Gavin, Jack, Ava, Deacon, Cole, and Jase; Sister, Gracie Daukas, and a brother, Melvin Heisler. A Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, from 4:30 pm until 6:30 pm, with a service following at 6:30 pm at Calvary Baptist Church in Latonia.
