Johnell Lawson

Johnell “Jonny” Lawson, age 79, passed away on November 26, 2023 at her home surrounded

by her loving family. She was born on December 21, 1943 in Covington, KY, the daughter of

the late Frank and Margie Kendall. Preceding Johnell in death were her parents; her husband,

David Lawson; her son, William “Billy” Moore; her sister, Patsy Young and her brother, Ethan

Owen “Baldy” Kendall. Those left surviving to carry on Johnell’s memory include her

granddaughter, Kristen Thomas; great-grandchildren, Caleb, SkyLynn and Caden; siblings,

Onnie (Lynn) Kendall of South Carolina, Mike (Mary) Kendall of South Carolina, Jerry

(Nancy) Kendall of Washington, Rocky (Vicki) Kendall of Indiana, Robin (Cecilia) Kendall of

Kentucky, Frank (Reba) Kendall of Kentucky, Chuck Kendall of Kentucky, Mona (Dallas)

Ballew of Georgia, Candy Coleman of Kentucky and Ethan Kendall of Kentucky; as well as

numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A visitation celebrating Johnell’s life

will take place from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Floral Hills

Funeral Home, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015. A funeral service will

immediately follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Johnell will then be laid to rest at Floral
