Johnny L Anderson

Johnny Anderson, 78, of Fort Mitchell, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home on June 10, 2023, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Johnny was born in Pine Knot, Kentucky on October 18, 1944. He worked as a Machine Tender for Rock Tenn Paper Company for 35 years, retiring in 2011. Johnny was an avid UK basketball and Cincinnati Reds fan, and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by his mother, Nellie, and his father Starlin, brothers Ken, Daniel, and sister Tava.   Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Wanda, son John (Elaine), daughter Joyce (Heath), and son Scott (Becky).  Also surviving are grandchildren, Lauren (Rob), Chelsea (Reed), Sienna, Kayla, and great-grandchildren Truitt, Ceilia, Parker, and Ren, and sister Rose Young.   Visitation will be Friday, June 16, 2023, from 5-8 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, where funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday, June 17, 2023, with burial following at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.  Memorial contributions can be made to St. Elizabeth’s Hospice Care, or St. Elizabeth’s Cancer Center.
