WILDER - Joyce A. Jones, 62, died Thursday, Jan. 7, at Hospice of the Bluegrass Care Center, Fort Thomas.
She was a lieutenant colonel with the Newport Police Department, member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 2, Newport Elks 273 Ladies Auxiliary and the Highland Avenue Baptist Tabernacle Church in Fort Thomas.
Her husband, Kenneth Jones, died previously.
Survivors include her brother, John Little of Ryland Heights; stepdaughter, Debbie Schmitz of Newport; and one granddaughter.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, with service following at Dobbling, Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Newport. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill.
Memorials: Hospice of the Bluegrass-Northern Kentucky, 7388 Turfway Road, Florence, KY 41042; or Highland Avenue Baptist Tabernacle Church, Fort Thomas 41075.
