Kenneth F. Shell,

90, of Florence, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. Kenny proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the L&N Railroad where he worked as a Switchman. In his spare time, Kenny enjoyed fishing, metal detecting and flea market wheeling and dealing. Kenny is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Sondra and Tom Patterson; granddaughters Chelsea (Ming) Yu and Janie Patterson; great grandchildren Julia, Evelyn, Emmett, Sally and Andrew; many extended family members and friends. Kenny is preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years Sally Shell; granddaughter Hannah Patterson and his siblings Boyd Shell, Irene Tucker, James Albert Shell, Curtis Shell and Harvey Shell. A visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home on Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 9:30 am until the time of Funeral Service at 11:30 am. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Compassion International. Floral Hills Funeral Home is honored to serve Kenny’s family.
