Larry Oren Davis. Larry passed away Sunday, April 17th, ending his battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of forty years, Donna Davis, and his children Melinda Brown and Scott Davis. He was also the beloved "Daddo" to his grandchildren Shelby, Charlotte, Ian and Victoria. Larry was also a second father to his daughter-in-law Nicki Davis and son-in-law Greg Brown. He was one of six children born to Cecil and Etheleen Davis and is survived by two sisters, Donna and Linda and three brothers, Douglas, Michael and Gregory. Larry dedicated his entire career to education and most recently worked at Walton-Verona High School as a S.A.F.E. agent. Larry will be missed as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, colleague, educator and friend. He was an Elder at Nicholson Christian Church, Past Grand-Master at Golden Rule Lodge, an educator of forty years and will be missed in those communities as well. Throughout his career, personal-life and battle with cancer he never lost his sense of humor and anyone that knew him can find strength in knowing that. Visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5pm to 7:30pm with Masonic Service from 7:30pm to 8:00pm. Funeral Service will be at 10:00am on Thursday at Nicholson Christian Church in Independence, Kentucky.
