Tinkie. Martha. Mom. Aunt Tink. Grandma. Gigi.
Regardless to what name she was answering, Lillian Martha Nezi (nee Lawson) always answered with love, kindness, and compassion.
Loving wife to Jack (1927-1986), Lillian loved animals, gardening, and watching all the old shows on MeTV. Over the years, she doted on her many dogs and her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She liked nothing better than to sit around the kitchen table, consume copious cups of coffee, and tell stories with her friends and loved ones. Her bright blue eyes twinkled when she laughed and she made a mean Watergate Salad.
Born in Claryville, KY on February 29th, 1932, Lillian was raised in nearby Lenoxburg. The family moved to Covington at age 9. It was there, in 1949, that she married Jack Nezi. They settled in Covington, raising their five children.
Predeceased by son Tom Nezi (1951-1981) and daughter Bonnie (John) Lucas (1957-2018), Lillian is survived by daughter Marilyn Nezi of Augusta and sons Dale Nezi of Taylor Mill and Jack (Erin) Nezi of Independence. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Lillian passed away on March 7th, 2021 after a brief illness. She will be interred next to Jack at the Independence Cemetery in Independence, KY.
