Linda Marie Casson

Taylor Mill – Linda was born on November 24, 1947 and died peacefully on July 9, 2021. She was a compassionate woman that cared for her family and others very deeply. She earned her degree in Art at Thomas Moore College and taught art for a time before working in special education. Linda was very devoted to her students in special education programs. She also did floral design for many years with local florists. Linda and her husband Garry have been members of Latonia Baptist Church for 46 years. She cherished and loved all of her family, most especially her grandchildren that she enjoyed babysitting. Linda is survived by her husband of 52 years, Garry A. Casson; children, Adam (April) Casson, Aaron (Paula) Casson, Allison (Michael) Kreate, and Andrew Casson; grandchildren, Aiden, Asher, Zachary, Ryan, Reese, Lillian, and Lydia; and cousins, Chris Rich, Gary Schweikert, Helen Wever, Tom Kelly, Daniel Kelly, and David Kelly. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Lynn Casson; parents, Abner and Helen Shoptaugh and cousin, Anna May Williams. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 11 am until the Funeral Service at 1 pm, all at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made in Linda’s name to the Amy Lynn Casson Memorial Scholarship via The Northern Kentucky University Foundation or Latonia Baptist Church.
