Louis G. Grivetti, 83, of Latonia, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood.
He was a retired employee from Corning Glass Works, Harrodsburg, and a retired SSGT from the Army. He was an ex-POW-ETO, a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church, Newport, the OKI and national chapters of the American Ex-Prisoners of War, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion Post No. 203, VFW Marshall-Schildmeyer Post No. 6095, and Ex-POW-EYO Slaughter Houses, a Boy Scout leader, past state commander of Daniel Boone ex-POWs, Lexington, former commander of the First Kentucky Orphan Brigade, received Volunteer of the Year at Latonia Elementary School in 2001, and participated in Civil War reenactments.
His wife, June Cornelius Grivetti, died in 2000.
Survivors include a daughter, Louisa Grivetti of Latonia; sisters, Nancy Tegtmeier of Illinois and Wilma Sarna of Maine; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia. Visitation will begin there at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill.
