Lulie Almas

Lulie Vern Fisk Almas, 69, of Florence, formerly of Independence, died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Florence.
She was a retired cook for Gateway Catering.
She was preceded in death by daughter Melinda Gail Vires and son Roy Lee Bass.
Survivors include husband Gilbert Almas; daughter Anita Helton, both of Independence, Ky.; sons, Jeffrey Alan Bass of Corinth, Danny William Bass of Florence, David Earl Bass of Shady Hook, Ky., and Troy Anthony Bass, of Covington; brother Steve Fisk, of Demossville; sisters, Mary Jane Thompson and Mona Gail Riley, both of Paducah; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Visitation will begin there at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery in Covington.
