Mary Schmitz

Mary "Cerena" Schmitz of Bromley, Kentucky passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Coldspring Transitional Care. Cerena was born March 20, 1929 to the late Thomas and Anna Rohan. She was a Kentucky Colonel and proudly served as the first woman on the Bromley City Council. Her greatest accomplishment was the Love that she gave her family whom she leaves behind; children Rick Schmitz, Paula (Don) Powell, Barb (Alan) Cawood, Cindy (Charles) Bailey and Guy (Joan) Schmitz; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild due in September; sister Virginia (Dave) Knochelman and brother Thomas (Carol) Rohan. Visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 11 a.m. until time of Eulogy at 12:30 p.m. Burial will immediately follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
