Mary Jane McDonald “Jane”

Independence – Passed away on December 15, 2020 at the age of 80. Jane was a kindhearted, compassionate woman that cherished her family, especially her grandkids. She and her husband Bruce enjoyed traveling over the years in their RV, they visited national parks like Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon. They also enjoyed visiting Myrtle Beach on multiple occasions. Jane was an avid reader for years that enjoyed cooking and gardening. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Bruce A. McDonald; sons, Jeff (Lisa) McDonald, Chris (Leah) McDonald; grandchildren, Lauren (Jake) Boger, Justin (Carolyn Ljungren) McDonald, Jessica McDonald, Kayla McDonald, Cameron McDonald; sister, Sue Morris and brother, Jerry Story. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Mary Story. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 11 am until Funeral Service at 1 pm, all at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Livestream of the funeral service can be accessed at the link below. A private burial will be held for the family. A celebration of Jane’s life will take place at a later date once Covid restrictions have been lifted. Memorial donations may be made in Jane’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
